Vetiver Essential Oil

Why & how to use it

Vetiver, a member of the grass family, is grown for many reasons. Unlike other grasses, the root system of Vetiver grows down, making it ideal for helping to prevent erosion and providing soil stabilisation. Vetiver has a rich, exotic, complex aroma that is used extensively in perfumes. Due to Vetiver’s calming, grounding effect on the emotions, it is an ideal oil to use in massage therapy. It can also be rubbed on the feet before bedtime to promote a sense of relaxation.

In Ayurvedic medicine vetiver is known as the oil of tranquility!

One of my favourite things about Vetiver essential oil from doTERRA is that it is sourced from Haiti and is part of doTERRA’s Co-Impact Sourcing, which basically means the farmers & distillers and their families and communities benefit enormously. Check out this video if you want to see how a community is transformed (and what vetiver looks like!!)

😂💦WARNING Vetiver is a VERY thick essential oil, so you learn patience when you’re waiting for a drop to come out of the bottle… be patient, it’s worth it!!
